The Mucky Cow Play Cafe in Chobham offers a relaxed, family-focused environment blending casual café comforts with a compact, thoughtfully designed play area for young children. Located on High Street, it’s an easy stop for parents looking to enjoy a coffee break while keeping their little ones entertained in a safe space tailored to early childhood.

Inside, the play area may not be expansive, but it’s just the right size to allow caregivers to stay close by, sip on fresh coffee, and keep an eye on toddlers as they explore soft play structures and a variety of toys. The atmosphere feels welcoming and unhurried, making it well-suited for weekday mornings or early afternoons when families might be looking for a low-key outing or a place to meet other local parents.

Menu-wise, The Mucky Cow keeps things simple and practical, with breakfast options like granola and breakfast wraps, alongside children’s sandwich boxes and summer falafel wraps. For families with very young children, the café thoughtfully stocks baby puree pouches, so even parents of infants can feel at ease grabbing a bite without the stress of what’s baby-appropriate. Cakes and cookies on display provide a sweet touch to complement the well-made coffee, creating an approachable treat for grownups and kids alike.

Local families tend to appreciate the staff’s attentiveness and friendliness, which contributes to a community feel. Whether it’s managing a busy café during a playdate or hosting a first birthday party, the team at The Mucky Cow makes an effort to adapt food offerings and check in with guests discreetly, helping the occasion run smoothly with minimal fuss.

Because it balances the needs of parents and children without overcrowding, this café works well as a casual meet-up spot for local families or a venue for small celebrations. Visitors can expect a down-to-earth vibe punctuated by the occasional burst of children’s laughter, creating a space that’s more about genuine connection than rushing through a coffee run.

Overall, The Mucky Cow suits parents and carers in the Chobham and wider Woking area looking for a neighborhood café where young children can play safely while adults enjoy decent coffee and simple food options. Mornings and early afternoons during the week are likely best for a gently social experience before it gets busier on weekends or party bookings.

We visited the cafe for the first time on their on their 1st Birthday! Me and my son really enjoyed our visit. Both me and my 8 month old had a meal. I was a bit worried about what I could give my son but they had Ella’s Kitchen purées in the fridge and prepared it for us. Staff were really friendly and interacted with my son as I got to enjoy my coffee with dessert. Will definitely visit again soon!

Can’t recommend this play cafe in Chobham, Surrey enough! Our first visit here today and it was such a lovely little find, we will definitely be returning soon. The play area is really sweet with a little soft play area and lots of different toys to play with. It’s not huge but perfectly sized so you can drink a coffee and watch your little one playing. The staff here really were the shining point of our experience as they really did go above and beyond. My friend wanted to purchase a banana and as they didn’t have any one of the lovely members of staff gave her own banana that she brought in from home. The other lovely lady working was so sweet with our babies and also saw that I was breastfeeding and brought me a glass of water without me asking… it’s the little things that make such a huge difference! They really do deserve a pat on the back. I often I find with play cafes and soft plays the staff can be unhelpful/rude so it was so refreshing that both ladies who were working today were so pleasant, helpful and made it such an enjoyable experience for the mothers as well as the babies. Thank you very much.

We just held our daughter’s 1st birthday party here - it was absolutely perfect. The food was adapted to suit the babies ages, so we had pouches, fruit, little cupcakes and sandwiches. We also had adult pastry platters. All delicious and perfect for what we wanted. The staff were really friendly, helpful and kind, they checked in to see if there was anything we needed and asked if we were having a good time etc. which was lovely as it shows they care! We would 100% recommend hosting your child’s party here. It’s absolutely brilliant and we love it!

We hired the Mucky Cow for our son’s 1st Birthday party and it was fantastic. Donna and Phoebe were incredible hosts, served amazing food and made our family and guests feel welcome at home. Highly recommended for a play date or party.

It was my first time visiting the Mucky Cow play cafe, safe to say i will be coming back! The coffee i had was lovely, i didn’t have the chance to try some of the food but the cakes and cookies on display looked delicious. The place is nicely decorated and the playframe is perfect for small children. Sky did a brilliant job especially as it was busy, multitasking and making sure we were served and that we were all okay! Highly recommended for anyone especially people with younger children.

We celebrated my toddlers 3rd birthday on Saturday 5th of April 2025 and had such an amazing experience! The food was delicious and all gone for adults and children! The space is so cozy and the staff were extremely helpful!!! They helped set up, were very attentive, and almost intuitive with all the event organisational details. The package price was also very good value for money. Would definitely recommend and THANK YOU! (Our party was 11 children and 1/2 sets of parents which filled up the place but didn’t make us feel crowded)

On the off chance I popped into the cafe requiring about take away drinks. The Lady behind the counter said they do take away cups. With the wide selection of coffee, teas, smoothies and milkshakes. (Depending on season) and availability. With food to go also if you don't mind waiting. (check the menu). There is seating inside and outside the play area so popping in for a coffee is simple.

Stumbled across this lovely place when I was waiting to pick my daughters up from their pony day. It's perfectly compact and lovely for a not so crazy soft play, I would say its great for small children up to the age of 3. I didn't book a session, but luckily, they had space to accommodate, so we walked in. Reasonable price to get in for an hour and a half session, which is more then enough time. The play area is a small space to the left hand side as you walk in and it is compact and clean. There is a counter where you can order food and drinks to the left and then in front of you is the seating area again very clean. As between sessions they give everything a quick clean. There are books, colouring and toys available in the baskets near the play area. I would say food and drink are probably priced about right for the area and the same as what you would pay in a Costa or Starbucks but with the added bonus of your little ones being kept busy. The team are friendly, parking is close by and charged at a reasonable price, I paid £3 for 6 hours
